Whereas the remake of MTV Song is a bit (naively) careerist, this one, along with Mountain, is just for the pleasure of synth love. The vocals - mine and Karla's - are from the original Magic Act track, and the Mellotron is too, but all the other stuff is just slathered on fresh for fun.
The drums might be the Funkbox app, or maybe Roland CR-500. I don't have the Pro Tools session handy. Lots of squirrelly Pro One and Micromoog. They love playing with each other. Certain pairs of synths partner well, like the Prophet 6 and Juno 6. Think it's Prophet 6 bass, though I generally prefer the Pro One for such.
